THE SOCKS MUST BE LIBERATED!

Something has been brewing here in Sounis. We have felt the stirrings of rebellion, seen for ourselves the injustices that take place every day around our feet, heard the cries of woolly socks deprived of their independence, forced to inhabit the world "matched" with another sock that they outwardly resemble, trapped inside the stiff shoes of conformity. Well, yesterday something amazing happened! It was decided that we shall have NONE of this! We shall advocate for SOCKISH INDEPENDENCE and work to FREE THE SOCKS as soon as we can!

How, you ask? Well, here's how.
Next Friday, February 12, shall mark the beginning of The Official Conspiracy of Socks Week. From then until the 19th, we can support our fuzzy friends by wearing only UNMATCHED socks. Excited yet?
Additionally, as soon as my camera is charged up (hopefully tomorrow) I'll post a picture I've designed so that we can wear pins, which will bring more notice to our cause. They'll say "A Conspiracy of Socks .... Liberation."
Also, we could throw ourselves under buses. However ... that may not further the cause much, because IT WILL BE A LONG AND HARD BATTLE, BUT WE WILL PULL THROUGH! THE SOCKS NEED US, AND WE SHALL MAKE THEM FREE!

If you are slightly confused, because you did not avidly read what resulted from Aspectabund's post yesterday, perhaps this will clarify things.

Ah, the excitement!
It seems there have been several rather serendipitous sock-related episodes occuring (socks being stolen or disappearing, several people already wearing unmatched ones, that SUPER COOL lj of Lonely Socks, socks taking freedom into their own hands/toes by becoming holesy ... why, yesterday when I was posting this, my dad literally walked over and showed me the socks he'd just bought for my mom's birthday!)
THIS IS NO COINCIDENCE!!!
THE SOCKS FEEL THE REVOLUTION NEARING AND ARE STEPPING TOWARD FREEDOM!
I'm glad that some of you think it's a good idea!
If ye be unsure, think what is at stake! What you may view as socksually perverse (!) at first will make the world a better place. The socks need YOU!
And, Mira, you could die some of your socks...
IT'S ON! WE WILL ROCK THE SOCKS OFF THIS WORLD! FREEDOM! TOGETHER!
