[identity profile] inconceivablelf.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] queensthief
hey, I'm new. I found this LJ community in an extremely strange way (I couldn't find my copy of Queen of Attolia, so I was searching google for the invocation "Oxe Harbrea Sacrus Vax Dragga Onus Savonus Sophos At Ere" and it led me here through a couple of random chat screens).

so having no further connections with this community other then that it's LJ and Eugenides, I joined. I love these books. I've been (re)reading the Thief for about five years. I read Queen of Attolia almost the instant it came out, got mad at the book, read it again, and liked it much better. however I missed when King of Attolia came out. When I discovered it on the library shelf, I squeaked (rather louder then I should have. Librarians are always trying to shush me).

So that was about a week ago, and I've read it twice since then.

I guess that's about it!
Be blessed in your endeavors!

Welcome!

It's nice to meet you, and I'm glad that you found us. :)

Only a week since you read KoA! Have you got any thoughts or questions about it? I loved KoA, and thought that it more than lived up to the first two books (which I also spent several years chronically re-reading), but it took me a few re-reads to get some parts.

And I think that you were entitled to a squeak. I remember laughing hysterically and very loudly when I found out it was coming out - so you did very well in comparison.

Also, I love your icon. :)

I also was squeakity when I saw it on a library shelf.
I promptly began selling all my friends on the series, after reading it: the Thief I'd loved but the King was all I was waiting for. And I didn't know it.

Welcome!
