If you don't have it yet, email me at checkers65477@yahoo.com.

Welcome! Watch out for Irene if you are going around talking about marrying Eugenides. She might have you hung from the palace walls. :)

Polygamy

Marrying someone who is already married is called "polygamy", and is in fact frowned upon in most societies.

I dunno, Gen's an adventurous sort of guy, willing to try all sorts of dangerous things, and those Attolians, they're pretty casual ...

*shakes head in disapproval of Attolian morals*

Welcome, JoTheGreat!

Perhaps not here in Sounis?

My first thought was that this wouldn't be nearly as bad as a five-way marriage with a dancing bear, proof that I've been spending way too much time around here.

What are YOU laughing at? Wasn't it partly your idea?

Absolutely not. You guys had come up with the five-way marriage involving the dancing bear before I got here. I remember being faintly alarmed by the reprobateness expressed in the concept. :P

My debut was the GUT.

Don't blame me for that. I was squicked by the whole thing. :P I thought you posted here before I did. Even before King came out, didn't you?

I lurked. I think I first became active the summer after KoA came out. I know you were there first, because I remember fleeing your wrath. :D

(Uh... not much has changed, has it. :P)

Here. You posted on 12/27/05, way before I did. KoA wasn't out yet.

Five way marriage with the dancing bear?

Welcome Jothegreat!
...though I must warn you, remember what Attolia told Gen she'd do if he took a mistress....
Ha!! Know what you feel like, we're all Eugenides-mad, a bit.

PS. Ignore the reprobates. And the dancing bear. They're just insane, don't worry, otherwise they're harmless. And never eat any of the cookies emerald_happy might offer, they all spiked with absinthe. Welcome to the wonderfully crazy world of Sounis and Eugenides!

Lois McMaster Bujold's _Warrior's Apprentice_. It's sf, but very well-written, with lots of moments both poignant & splorterrific.

Have started Bridge of Birds. It's interesting.

That's another excellent one. If you like it, there're two more, which were published together in a hardback omnibus by the Science Fiction Book Club several years ago.
