New lesson learned: Don't go through collections of fabrics when thinking about QT.
I did exactly that a week or so ago, and have done nothing but work on revamping this doll (originally Alissa, from a series of children's books) for the last week. A few things I should mention about the pics:

    * I wish I could change her expression. *pouts* She looks about as much like Attolia as John Travolta looks like Gen. She's the only black-haired doll I have.
    * The slit up the side over the petticoat was not in my original design. I measured the width of the skirt wrong which made the pre-slit dress incredibly ugly. However, there's a certain reprobatish side of me that's saying, 'Gen probably enjoyed it, though!' *beats certain reprobatish side with a stick*
    * I was too lazy to have the entire collar of the dress be white flowers. It's a lot more like the one in the new cover for QoA.
    * I'm not entirely sure how attaching pictures works, so I'm going with this and crossing my fingers.

I like it. Forwarded to my lady, who is a Thief etc. fan and a serious doll collector and costumer.

It looks very nice. :)

I wish I could see it bigger, though.

Yes, you slay me at the Travolta/Gen metaphor.

Pretty pretty. You won't find any support in your anti-craftsy resolution here, sorry hon.

Oh, sorry. I'm using Firefox, and forgot that not all browsers are the same. If you're using Internet Explorer, the only way I know of to view the pictures is to right click on them, and select "Properties". Then copy and paste the address there into your browser.

If you're using another browser, then I can't help, sorry.

Emerald made some very cool dolls of the characters, too. Here's (http://community.livejournal.com/sounis/121142.html) a link to one of them, and you can see the others linked from that post.

Very pretty. Are those sequins? Or did you embroider the flower and leaves?

I'd love to see a close-up, though I'd hate to be the cause of your computer blowing up... The leaves look very uniform. Are they free-hand, or did you have a pattern to follow as you went along?
