New Fan

Ok, this isn't any big news or anything, but I'm just so excited!! I got my friend, whom I didn't think would read The Thief, to read it!! And she likes it!!! I'm so happy!!!

On this note, have any of you made new fans by introducing them to the books? How has that gone?

I read the whole series aloud to my husband on car trips (his folks live an hour away, and we see them a couple times a month). He loved them. I've also given some to friends for birthdays, etc.

I also read the first two books to my family! I think it's awesome to share books by reading them aloud. ^^

I've been on a crusade to get people at my school to read it. Captain's Thief (he hasn't posted for a while, he's really busy. However, the hook for his Gen costume is magnificent) was a convert of mine, and I've also found someone who read the Thief but didn't know there were sequels to give them a shot - how is it that they're fantasy/adventure/romance and I can't get a single girl to read them?

I...introduced my two best friends to QoA after reading it for the first time, and since joining livejournal, I've convinced at least three people I have never actually met in real life to read it too. Because it is Just That Awesome.
