Gen Screenshot?

So... I was contemplating whether to post this or not, but I was having a kick out of it. Recently in DA, I saw a "fake screenshot" tutorial, and so many artists were doing them already. So I figure, hey, why not, and tried it too.

Well, haha, it's a little shabby, but it was a quick one. I must say The Thief isn't my favourite book in the series, but when I was browsing for a good scene to practice on, I saw this one, and thought it would be cool.  I actually wasn't very fond of Magus in the first book. I thought he was mean as heck, and felt like slapping him a couple of times, this scene included. 


On another note, I noticed that MWT is a big fan of Rosemary Sutcliff, and she has recommended books by her in ACoK. I haven't read a book by her yet, but I've heard that a few of you have read "Eagle of the Ninth" and liked it. When I looked it up in the library, I'm not sure if I was interested in the story though. But there's a movie based on it. Should I see the movie first or give the book a try? (Apparently, there's BL in it! Mwahahaha!)
