[livejournal.com profile] tiegirl recently posted a link to this great interview from HarperCollins in which MWT says:

Virginia: They asked you for a map, didn’t they?

Megan: They did! And they are getting two of them! I think both maps are beautiful and I’m having trouble with the whole “not telling” thing as I want to point stuff out and say, “Did you see? Did you notice?” But I’m biting my tongue.

This is really making me want to reexamine the map so I can see and notice because I'm guessing I haven't yet. Anyone have any insight as to what the map's telling us? Do you think it's the map itself, or maybe the caption on the side? Ideas?

Per MWT's tumblr, here are the details:

"The very nice people at Barnes & Noble at Market Commons said it’s okay if we come hang out in their store for a while on Thursday night, May 4th.  This isn’t an official signing.  Just a meet up.  Bring books if you’d like me to sign them, but please be prepared to buy a book from the store as a thank you to them for hosting us.  And if you can let me know you’re coming so that I can give them a estimated head count, that would be great."

Has anyone ever tried to translate the runes that are shown on Hamiathe's Gift as shown on the paperback version of The Thief?

It looks like they're these four Greek letter: Ε φ ε χ.

Which, according to Google translate, as one word it's "Effec".....

Or, separately it's a capital E, an f or ph, lower case e, and then a kh. E f e k?

Does that mean anything to anyone? Are they just random letters or is there a deeper meaning??
