I've been DEEP down a Sounis rabbit hole this evening, reading posts from around ACoK's publication instead of what I'd actually meant to do -- comment on the last few weeks' discussions and write the post or two I've been vaguely planning since May 16th. It was a fun and somewhat sentimental time, and then I found this, in despez06's comment elaborating on a meetup in Boston in October 2010:

"Megan said jokingly that the next book would be out in 7 years (jokingly! there doesn't seem to be any kind of date! joking only!)"

Ah.

I'm a mixture of impressed, amused, and dismayed for our former selves who didn't know how long we had to wait! I mean, it was worth it, but still. Here's the thread in Philia's original post, also featuring a solid conversation about discount amphorae.
