Stand Alone Read for New Year?

We still have 1 chat to go in our Chrestmanci series, but we're already thinking ahead to a stand-alone read for early in 2025. 

I checked MWT's "recommended books" in the Vince Natale paperback of CoK and here are a few options that appealed to me:

Warrior Scarlet by Rosemary Sutcliff

Puck of Pook's Hill by Rudyard Kipling

The Enchanted Castle by Edith Nesbit

Knight's Castle by Edward Eager

Go Saddle the Sea by Joan Aiken

The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald

Other titles to consider are most welcome!
