Eddis, Attolia, Sounis

I thought in the Thief he was 12-13, because it says when he was ten, he had the big fight with his father and tore up the enrollment papers and vowed never to take a sword by the hilt, then when he got back to Eddis, Sophos spent his days telling anyone who would listen that Gen honorably retired that vow two years later. I don't know why, but I assumed it was two years between The Thief and the QoA, then two years passed during the QoA, where it says he spent two long years building up his defenses against her. Then I thought it was about a month between QoA and KoA and we know it was a bit over 98 days. So that brings us to about, 13+2+2+1= about 18 years old was my guess?
