As far as trying to describe the books, I usually say something about how they are well-written, have great characters, politics that feel realistic, and a Greek-like setting. I also tailor it to fit what ever person I'm talking to. I have to admit that for some people the word "Awesome" is adequate.

On the subject of the Tethys Lesions, I don't know much about disease. But another definition of Tethys that might shed some light on what this disease actually is is that the Tethys Sea was in the middle of Pangaea (between the parts that are now the Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia, India, and Antarctica and the part that is now China). Looking at that definition, it seems to indicate that Tethys Lesions would have something to do with something on inside. Obviously it would eventually have to become visible on the outside for the lesions part to make sense. What are real diseases that include lesions?
