Thank you everyone who left book recommendations at my blog! Here is the list that resulted:

I was rather pleased that the arc was won by a Sounisian, instead of some random arc hungry internet prowler....

That was a very enjoyable list! Of the books listed that I have read, I found none that I did not enjoy. (Although I found The Belgariand fluffy and predictable, and the characters very set in their roles, I still fell very much in love with them. The prequels Belgarath and Polgara are the best in the series, IMO.) There were a lot that I had not seen and I'm thrilled to have this checklist to test my library against!

Great list! Thanks for this idea....it's a wonderful resource for upcoming reads. Just one nitpicky thing, because I'm the sort of person who goes around at the library and reshelves the misplaced books: Under Patricia Wrede there's a mention of A College of Magics and A Scholar of Magics. Both are wonderful books, but they are by Caroline Stevermer, who co-wrote the Sorcery and Cecelia books. That's probably the source of the confusion =)

Also, another nerdy comment--are you really an archaeologist by day? I'm excited to hear about another MWT lover who does archaeology; I used to, but have since moved into teaching. I can see how the Thief books would particularly appeal to people interested in the past though =D

Ahhhh so happy to see Dalemark and Sorcery and Cecelia are listed!

Wish I hadn't missed out. I could have recommended Stravaganza.

So excited!! Can't wait to read the book... still can't believe I won! I'm a new-ish "Sounisian" (though I lurked for years) and really quite honored to be a part of this amazing community of Turner fans. =)

Free Narnian. It was the post right before the one with all list of recommended books. Boohoo, I didn't win it :-(.
