Well,I don't know about anyone else but the special benefits we have are thinsg like, No school on our birthday, no matter what day. You CAN do school in your PJ's if you REALLY want to. You don't need to ask permission to go to the toilet, get a drink, etc. If you do something stupid, it's only your family laughing at you-no big deal. Asking for help is easier, because there are fewer people to help so the teacher/my mum, can help you if you need help. ALso, it's really lax. I often do my maths on the floor in the lounge so I can sit in the sun beam. Science on the trampoline. History on the couch. Etc.
The downsides are of course, alomost no social what so ever, I'm rather secluded. I prefer to stay in my room and draw/read/write/dance/ etc. There are lots of other downsides, but I don't really care about them much. so. :)
