Gen-in-Space, I like that! I've only read Young Miles but Miles really does remind me of Gen.

Yay! One of my favorite authors plugs another one of my favorite authors! I love mutual admiration societies. :D

Checkers, just a random comment about your icon - I love the Bartimaeus Trilogy! :) Is this the first time that you're reading the books or just a reread?

Oh yeah! I always knew that Ms Bujold is a woman of great discernment. Two of my 3 favourite authors meet in cyberspace: the third is Sherwood Smith [livejournal.com profile] sartorias WOOT!

The first time! I liked the first book--a lot. Even though Nathaniel is such an unlikeable major character. The second book was ok, I wasn't as crazy about it, but something about the ending made me terribly impatient to move on to the third book. And the third is SO good! So exciting and touching, in addition to the awesome Bartimaeus, fabulous Kitty, and deeply conflicted Nathaniel. I have about 20 pages left and will be so sad to be finished with the series.

I think Gen plans ahead a little bit more. :) They can be pretty similar in people's reactions to them though.

Ooooh first time! :) I liked the first two books mainly because of Bartimaeus and the way he narrates everything. Some of the footnotes just made me laugh out loud. But I haven't reread it in a while so I don't remember the details. You're close to the end! Let me know what you think of the ending!

I'm going to re-read them next because of the Prague bit ^_^

It really IS as morbid as the book makes out, though.

The end of the third book is awesome.

Hee, do you think she realises how many of us got into her books after joining Sounis?
