[identity profile] jade-sabre-301.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] queensthief
So, I know a few people have already posted their reviews of the ARC (I will try to get links up tomorrow, so those of us who didn't participate in them when they first happened can go back and read them), but I thought I would create a post for those who write really long ridiculous reviews and who wanted to link to them but didn't want to spam the comm with link posts*.

So post your links in the comments! Your reviews, other people's reviews on their blogs, whatever you find--LET US SPREAD THE LOVE.

*aka me, but I hope I am not alone in this? I WOULD LIKE TO READ YOUR REVIEWS TOO.

My thoughts, let me share them. (http://viviolo.livejournal.com/45585.html#cutid1) Really, it is more blow-by-blow commentary than review. And also, it is FULL OF DUMB CRACK, because that's just how I roll.

Here is mine. (http://zumie-ashlen.livejournal.com/55231.html#cutid1) It has a moment of crack, but mostly I remained sane (I am terribly proud!).

I have two. One is not spoilery and here (http://elvenjaneite.livejournal.com/328721.html). The other is spoilery and here (http://elvenjaneite.livejournal.com/328970.html). Neither are exactly coherent, since I finished reading an hour and a half ago, but oh well.

OMG I just finished. I don't have anywhere to post my review of it but I thought it was awesome and I'm cracking up reading what everyone else thought of it. Maybe at a later date I'll ask the thousand questions that are pulling my mind in a thousand directions!

Thank you for this lovely review. I just finished ACoK minutes ago and your review helped me marshall my unruley thoughts. I am still reeling as I always do after one of MWT's books.
By the way, I had just started your book, Runaway Princess when ACoK came. Yet I already know I am adding this book and its companion to ACoK on my must-read list with my sister.

Jade, thank you so much for taking the time to compile these!

LMAO xD I think that might have cured my doomsday thoughts about Gen's illness.

I love this site. Everyone here is absolutely cracked.

Oh my dear... Kate Coombs! I didn't realize you were a member. Gosh I love this site!

I'm sure you hear this all the time but... suffer me...

I love, love, LOVE A Runaway Princess. The "eyes like shining ponds" part won me over for life. I read your book during an extremely bad book summer for me. It gave me hope that there were still excellent YA adult fantasy I had not yet read. I read it in about 2 days, and I. Could. Not. Stop. Laughing.

I did not realize there was a sequel until just now. I shall have to find myself a copy ASAP.

The fact that you are also a Megan Whalen Turner fan just makes me love your book even more.

Have I mentioned I love your book.

Oh, thanks, QT! It's great to meet other MWT fans who are as in love with these books as I am. (And I hope you enjoy Runaway Princess and Runaway Dragon!)

Lady Jane--I'm so glad you love Runaway Princess! Thank you! Yes, there's a sequel, in which Laddy runs (flies) away from home and Meg and friends go on a quest to find him. I hope it also makes you laugh... And again, I'm loving meeting such dedicated MWT fans; she's in my top three with Diana Wynne Jones and Terry Pratchett for children's fantasy writers.

Here is a great review from The Book Smugglers.

http://thebooksmugglers.com/2010/03/book-review-a-conspiracy-of-kings-by-megan-whalen-turner.html

Also, from Angieville: http://angieville.blogspot.com/2010/01/conspiracy-of-kings-by-megan-whalen.html

Two book blogs which I love! And which love MWT, which makes them doubly awesome.
