Aug. 25th, 2010 10:09 amThe last post and its mention of Aladdin got me wondering:
What other series would you like to see crossed over with Queen's Thief?
As for me, I'd kill to see a crossover with Assassin's Creed or The Dalemark Quartet, Dalemark especially. Ever since that interview where Megan admitted the Eddisian gods were partly inspired by Dalemark's Undying, I've thought how very much both series need to exist in the same metaverse.

Date: 8/25/10 05:29 pm (UTC)Novel-wise, I'd love to see Gen run into Lina Inverse from Slayers, which was originally a Japanese light-novel series aimed at this age group. I think Lina's first-person take on Gen would be hilarious and they'd get into so much trouble.

Gen could totally teach Mosca the best words ever.

Date: 8/25/10 05:38 pm (UTC)The timeline might be problematic, but I think I can figure out how Gen would get involved.
Rome has the apple, they are expanding their kingdom and Gen's gods prompt him to steal the apple from them to keep them out of their lands. And guess who he runs into! >:] I can see Gen having an uneasy alliance with the assassins. A sort of enemy of my enemy type deal.
It's problematic though and needs a lot of development.

Date: 8/25/10 05:55 pm (UTC)I could also see Gourry and Irene having tea while they lament over controlling Lina and Gen. Pass coping skills. Amelia could be there as well, comparing damage costs with Helen.
AMELIA: So, with Lina-san, the Saillune legislature established a special kingdom fund dedicating to repairing her damages.
HELEN: Oh, I didn't bother with that. I just encouraged Eugenides's interest in Attolia and married him off. Problem solved!
