Who offered to organize the Sounis Members?  I read the post, and then couldn't find it again.  I would love that!  Username, general location, and Time Zone ... Add it to the User Guide to All Things Sounis.

And speaking of All Things Sounis ... I was in Barnes&Noble looking for Miles Errant and Howl yesterday, and got into a conversation with a young lady in the area.  We were bemoaning the organization of the store, where a given author may be found in several sections, and she was looking for a good book to spend her birthday money on.  I, of course, recommended Thief (I knew it was in stock, because I had just pulled it out for better display)  and it turns out she not only had read all three books, but she and her boyfriend were currently reading Theif together.  We skittered along on various topics and I didn't get to recommend this site to her but I hope she finds it.  More ammunition for Megan to come to Madison on the next book tour!

And I was glad to know there is another MTW reader who hadn't read either Howl or Miles.

HAHA! I did the exact same thing at boarder's with Queen of Attolia.

...And then I came back two weeks later and it was still on display.

...So I bought it.

::raises hand tentatively:: Hello, I'm new to this community, love all MTW books, live in LA and am definitely not a kid. ::waves:: However, I'm really posting to say that I've never read the Miles books either. However, I clutch all Diana Wynne Jones books to my bosom, particularly Deep Secret, Hexwood, and, well, Howl.

But the Gen/Attolia books are the ones which me gasp and keel over, no matter how many times I read them. I loved KoA beyond all reason -- I bought two copies for myself, one for a friend who also loves the series -- and then another at Cody's Books in Berkeley because MWT signed it! Yes, I'm obsessed.

And I'm so glad this community exists!
