Haha, sorry. I had another thought just now, rereading The Thief. Eugenides, the god, tells Gen that he has 'not yet' offended the gods (except Aracthus); later, Gen says that he was a thief, not 'yet' a murderer (when he doesn't kill the ostlers whose horses he steals). I wonder if Gen will offend the gods in the future...I hope not.
