Possible Choices for Irene

 Hi all!  I don't comment or post on here all too much, but I had to this time.  I was watching some old movies recently, and came across a couple of actresses who I thought would make good choices for Irene, if say, time travel was possible.

Has any one suggested Myrna Loy Before?



or perhaps Gail Patrick?

I LOVE Myrna Loy, but she usually plays such sweet characters. I have trouble seeing anyone so nice as Irene.

Beautiful faces, but... maybe this is me being picky (and I'd have to watch them act first) but they don't look like they've lived hard lives and made evil decisions? Well, Mryna Loy, a bit. But I picture Attolia thinner, sharper, a little more hard-eyed and jaw-clenched.

I actually don't see that. I definitely think that Attolia's face should indicate strong character -- but, the point is that she looks incredibly beautiful and feminine. So that Eugenides can't believe she's really cruel by nature, and Nahuserfish (foolish creature!) can't believe she's intelligent.

There's supposed to be a big contrast between how she looks and how she acts.

BTW, I think Merle Oberon is a great idea!
