Hi everybody!! J

So, so, so, since NPR is doing a top YA favorites list, Ms. Turner suggested that we have our own Sounis’ top YA favorites list.  So here is a post to list those favorite YA books.

I will tally up all the titles, and post what books got the most votes.

CLOSED  The Deadline is Wednesday, July 4th.   CLOSED

I will comment on the bottom to say that any other additions will not be counted.

I do ask that we conduct this within a couple of guidelines to make it easier to do up a tally when we are done.

1. Please do not use numbers in the list.  Just start each line with a title.  And please have a blank line above and below your list.

2. Please do not include “the” at the beginning of a series name.  (If it is the book title, that’s fine.)  So “The Farsala Trilogy”  is just “Farsala Trilogy.”  “The Giver” is fine.   It will make it easier to count up later.

3. For our purposes, YA includes any book that you think a 12-18 year old would enjoy/is targeted toward that audience.  I will trust your judgment, and will not kick any titles off the list (unless someone puts “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” by Dr. Seuss!! J

4. Don’t forget to put authors, so we all can look them up, and enjoy them, too.

5. Please limit yourself to 5 choices (I know, I know, I’m so mean!!) J

Books/series will get one vote for every recommendation.  For reasons of sanity, I can’t count them under “I 2nd the recommendation” comments.  Please include them in your own list.

So have fun, and let’s have a great big Sounis rec party!!  (You get extra cookies if you share your criteria in your post, and maybe we can convince Elle to bring over the oreo truffle from Chatzy!
