This semester, I finally had room in my schedule to take an art elective, and I chose Ceramics. And, in a effort to draw attention to the Queen's Thief series, I decided to theme some of my pieces around Gen and Irene. I was super proud when they first came out, but upon further inspection... they sure are lumpy, aren't they?

I made these about a month or so in to the class. The first piece, which is finished in all pictures, has "Eugenides, Attolis, Gen" stamped around the base. The other, which is un-glazed in picture 2, features Gen and Irene having a discussion/argument under the Attolian moon. I wonder what he's saying?

Lumpy? No, they're beautiful! And the hook is inspired.

Nice! The hook is pretty self-explanitory, but I'm curious as to your thoughts behind the cup. Also the process of making it--was the black somehow scraped off some places to create the design--?

Very cool-especially the hook. My sister and I are in awe of your skills.
