I felt the same way when I first started on Tumblr!! Coming from LJ, it's quite disorienting. When I started out, my BIGGEST frustration was the lack of commenting system. Like if you want to comment on somebody's incredibly insightful post, you can't do it, unless you reblog the post and write your comments there; and I think that's kind of weird, because nobody really gets to see your comment unless they go to your blog. So yeah, trying to have discussions on Tumblr is quite painful.
I find Tumblr quite impersonal for that very reason.
But I have succumbed to the dark side, because half the Legend of Eli Monpress fandom is on Tumblr and I have failed to get them over this side of the fence.
