Peggy: Where's checkers? We need some red.
aged_crone: Ewwwwww! Lemme try a different color.
Peggy: So, back to Christmas lists ...
Anon8: mmmm, we need coffee and dark chocolate
Peggy: Ro needs an iPod, Jade wants the new Thief
Peggy: Coffee and Dark Chocolate are two of MY favorite items
Anon8: heehee
aged_crone: My niece is getting the first two from me. If she likes them, I'll spring for the hardcover KoA unless it's out in pb by then.
Peggy: *crosses fingers for PB KoA*
Peggy: *crosses fingers and toes for new Attolia book*
aged_crone: *wishes pb's had better quality paper*
emerald: i don't want anything except a holiday and maybe a new scarf
aged_crone: *joins Peggy in crossing fingers and toes for a new Attolia book, and throws in arms, legs, and eyes, too*
Peggy: Yeah but ... I hate to loan out hardcovers, or even travel with them.
emerald: *crosses everything*
Peggy: Emerald - what's left to cross? Ears?
Anon8: t's
aged_crone: Cross your heart?
Ro: :D
Peggy: Very good Anon!
Peggy: Hearts are good too
Anon8: :-D
aged_crone: Cross that bridge when you come to it?

Peggy: What kind of scarf emerald?
emerald: a warm one
Peggy: I have a pipeline for pashima scarf/shawls
Anon8: ooooo, niiiice
Peggy: That's what I'm giving everyone for Christmas
aged_crone: Oh, those are so gorgeous.!
Ro: They're lovely
Peggy: They are. A million colors, and oh so soft!
emerald: hehe - i'm making everyone jewellery. Ive started earrings and i want to make some of Attolia's bees
aged_crone: And soft. Aren't they made of goat's wool (to keep it on topic)?
Peggy: *will give them for presents, if she can bear to part with them that is*
emerald: (baaaaa)
aged_crone: Oh, bee earrings! How neat!
Peggy: On Topic. Yes
Ro: You must post pictures of the bee earrings if you make some emerald. :)
Anon8: *seconds*
Peggy: Ooooh! The bee earrings!
emerald: i will, it will be good advertising!
Peggy: Amber?
aged_crone: Topaz?

Peggy: *offers coffee*
aged_crone: *guzzles coffee*
Anon8: *offers chocolate*
aged_crone: *snarfs down chocolate*
emerald: probably gold and carved wood
Peggy: cool!
Anon8: pretty!
Peggy: Who will do the carving?
emerald: me. i've started learning and made a flower yesterday. i need to practice before i attempt the bees though
Peggy: *notes Teal is much better when bolded*
Peggy: Awesome emerald!
Ro: They sound great Emerald
Peggy: What kind of wood?
emerald: walnut or oak. i'm not sure! I wish i could cut gemstones! amber bees would be lovely
aged_crone: Just changed font size to see if it makes things clearer.
aged_crone: Maybe you can get pre-cut amber beads in the right shape?
aged_crone: One nice thing about amber is it's so light. I would think that in earrings that would help.
Peggy: I should think wood would be as well
Peggy: (say that ten times fast!)
aged_crone: taerghaahgaer8hbd.
aged_crone: Can't do it!
emerald: yeah, i'm doing some coconut shell ones at the moment and they're pretty light
Peggy: :-D
Peggy: Emerald - that's awesome!
emerald: :-)
emerald: ;-D
Anon8: soo cool!
Anon8: :-D
Peggy: Avian was just talking about making earrings too
Peggy: I think it's a trend
Peggy: Now we need some alters ...
Anon8: but don't sacrifice the cute little goats!
Peggy: Oh Come on! Gen did ....
aged_crone: Heartlessly!
emerald: maybe a stuffed toy goat?
Peggy: Course look what happened then.
aged_crone: Poor kid!
Ro: lol
emerald: gen or goat?
aged_crone: Goat, of course.
emerald: LOL
Anon8: Gen would probably be offended if anyone called him a kid...unless they meant goatfoot
Anon8: instead of child
aged_crone: *suddenly thinks of Gen baaing as he and Attolia climb the cliff stairs...*
Anon8: he must have had a lot of practice, from twitting Ornon ;-)
Peggy: Very true!
aged_crone: And I still wonder how he managed to swipe those knives back without her noticing that he was near enough to do it.
Ro: Thief. :)
emerald: hooked implements?
Ro: I wonder how he managed the hairpins too
Peggy: Reprobate
aged_crone: Well, yes, but come one, they're on *stairs*!
Peggy: He's quick, she was tired ...
emerald: *mouth agape*
Ro: And she's facing away from he, and one knife was next to her ribs?
aged_crone: Yes, and I was wondering whether the rest of the people could see that he was taking out the hairpins or whether they thought the queen's hair was just coming loose.
Peggy: OK, so he's good
aged_crone: Maybe she was suffering from oxygen deprivation and blacked out temporarily.
Peggy: How'd he get down to the boat, during the kidnapping ...
Ro: lol
Peggy: He's good
emerald: i have to go now. I'll send you the backlog, Ro!
Ro: Thanks Emerald. :)
Peggy: He Can Do Anything He Wants (just ask him)
Anon8: bye emerald
aged_crone: He had been spying on the megaron, probably knew where everything was.
Peggy: bye emerald
aged_crone: Bye, Emerald.
*** emerald has quit (Quit: emerald)
Peggy: Keep us posted on the earrings!
Peggy: *I love the "Quit: name"*
aged_crone: *avoids bad pun about earring posts...*
Peggy: I noticed that as I was typing ... thank you Leslie!
aged_crone: How does one leave this place, anyway? Click the disconnect button?
Anon8: pretty much
Ro: I guess so
Peggy: I always just close the window
Anon8: but you lose the backlog when you leave
Peggy: and come back to a blank room
Peggy: :-(
Peggy: And miss Jade saying bad things to Megan about how old she is ...
Ro: I'm keeping the transcript of this chat saved, but the lack of a backlog was why we stuck with chatzy I guess
Ro: :)
Ro: Much to Jade's relief
Peggy: So ... any news on a backlog saving device for this chatroom?
Anon8: lol
Anon8: mmm, "Costis" said something about a bot
Anon8: but no info yet on how to get the bot to send us the backlog
Peggy: you know ... no visitor listing either, to know who's been in and out, and/or lurking ...
Ro: I guess for now it's just copying and saving as we go along
aged_crone: No, just who's here now.
Peggy: pros and cons
Ro: Speaking of which, I have to head off too
Ro: does someone else mind keeping the transcript recorded and emailing it to me later?
Peggy: Got that essay done yet Ro?
Ro: one and a half pages to go!
Ro: Ahem
aged_crone: Every time I see you you're writing an essay!
Peggy: *poke poke*
Anon8: *sends cybercookies for encouragement*
aged_crone: Do your teachers hate you?
Peggy: *and chocolate*
Ro: Thanks. :) Yep, they pretty much dominate my life Leslie
aged_crone: *sends hot chocolate.*
Ro: I'm starting to suspect so
Ro: I should finish the essay before
Ro: bye. :)
aged_crone: Bye!
Anon8: bye! good luck!

Date: 11/12/06 05:49 pm (UTC)And for the record, it was my friend's porch I left zucchini on, not my sister's. Though that may have been last year. And my friend never said anything about it...
My mom sometimes quotes, "I can do anything I want!" :-D
Oh, and Leslie's comment about our scintillating and witty conversation made me smile. Good thing Jade and I weren't there!
