Queen Ro, Emerald, Anon, Avian, Leslie, Willow, CeeCee ... it was quite a party! Chatzy bogged down so we decamped to the new chatroom, and actually stayed on topic more often than not, and the off-topic topics pretty much involved food or led to Attolia or other book discussions, so I left them in.

Enjoy!  This is the third attempt at posting - I hope the post and the cuts worked *crosses fingers and toes and t's...*

Peggy:  Anybody heard what the status is for collecting backlog here?

Peggy:  How come you Brits have zucchinis this time of year?

Peggy:  We only have them for about a month, and during that time everyone is overwhelmed with them.

Peggy:  Someone EXPORTS zucchinis?

Peggy:  Now that is just weird

Peggy:  We can't give them away

emerald:  well, most of our fruit and veg is imported

emerald:  Most flowers come from the Netherlands or Kenya

Peggy:  Yes, but you have HobNobs

Peggy:  And Devonshire cream

Ro:  And devonshire cream really isn't that great

Ro:  food seems to feature an awful lot in these chats. :)

emerald:  sorry, its because i'm always eating cookies, Like Gen saying at the end of The Thief how much he disliked cheap wine

emerald:  hehe - i'm making everyone jewellery. Ive started earrings and i want to make some of Attolia's bees

Peggy:  *will give them for presents, if she can bear to part with them that is*

emerald:  me. i've started learning and made a flower yesterday. i need to practice before i attempt the bees though

Peggy:  What kind of wood?

emerald:  walnut or oak. i'm not sure! I wish i could cut gemstones! amber bees would be lovely

aged_crone:  Just changed font size to see if it makes things clearer.

aged_crone:  Maybe you can get pre-cut amber beads in the right shape?

aged_crone:  One nice thing about amber is it's so light.  I would think that in earrings that would help.

Peggy:  I should think wood would be as well

emerald:  yeah, i'm doing some coconut shell ones at the moment and they're pretty light

Ro:  And she's facing away from he, and one knife was next to her ribs?

aged_crone:  Yes, and I was wondering whether the rest of the people could see that he was taking out the hairpins or whether they thought the queen's hair was just coming loose.

Peggy:  OK, so he's good

aged_crone:  Maybe she was suffering from oxygen deprivation and blacked out temporarily.

Peggy:  How'd he get down to the boat, during the kidnapping ...

Ro:  I'm keeping the transcript of this chat saved, but the lack of a backlog was why we stuck with chatzy I guess

I saw all those comments about me, zucchini, and wrath...

And for the record, it was my friend's porch I left zucchini on, not my sister's. Though that may have been last year. And my friend never said anything about it...

My mom sometimes quotes, "I can do anything I want!" :-D

Oh, and Leslie's comment about our scintillating and witty conversation made me smile. Good thing Jade and I weren't there!

JUNE of 2007? That's nuts! Can't even buy the hardcover in any stores - they seem to always be out of stock. Paperback Thief and QoA, but not KoA. How hard can it be to reprint in a softcover?
