THANK YOU everyone here at Sounis!!!

A while ago, I asked all of you for help: I needed GREAT opening book lines to interest students in a wide variety of books.  (I am a teacher and was going to make an interactive bulletin board of great books in my classroom.)  Well, you all came through for me - and I decided that I couldn't be selfish and just keep the board in my room for my students - so, I used the quotes that you all sent and built the bulletin board in our school library.  I then went looking through the library and found many of the books mentioned and placed them on the shelves below the bulletin board, so students could find them much more quickly.  And let me tell you, this board has been a HUGE success across the school!  Former students come to talk to me about the board and books they have read, current students use it, and other teachers have commented on using it with their students.  Thank you all SO much!!!  (I am going to try to include a picture of the board with this post...I hope it works!)

My plan is to change the opening lines every so often, so that the board stays fresh and students continue to discover great new books that they might not otherwise find.  Students are recommending books to me to add to the board, but please - if anyone read something wonderful, let me know what the first line(s) is, the title of the book, and the author.  (This board is intended for students in grades 4-8...so, the books need to be appropriate for students age 9-13 years.)  Thanks again!

PS: Has ANYONE heard anything about when the next MWT book is due out?  Since I read TT, QoA, KoA with my students (and many then read a CoK over the summer), they are asking if I've heard anything...and, let's face it, I WANT TO KNOW TOO!!!
