The Lycurgus Cup

Hello! Long-time lurker here. A Classicist friend posted about this late-Roman cup at the Britism Museum, and when I saw them I couldn't help but think of Melheret saying, "Our artisans have worked for centuries to perfect their art."

The Lycurgus cup is made with nanoparticles of gold and silver in the glass, so that it changes color when held up to the light. You can read more about it on the British Museum's blog. It's so amazing I couldn't help but come out of lurking and share! I knew Sounisians would appreciate the Mede connection. :)

Aren't these spectacular? As is the attention to detail that enriches the historical flavor of MWT's writing.

The British Museum's blog is wonderful. *follows*
