Shocking omission/mistake noticed
Mar. 14th, 2017 07:46 pmI am carefully not reading the list of characters at the ends of the new editions of QoA and KoA, which I've just bought. But in leafing through the pages to get to the short stories at the end I did read one entry, and was startled, shocked, horrified, appalled to see the inaccuracy, in the form of omission, that it displayed.
"Stenides: Eugenides's brother, a watchmaker."
Obviously, obviously, what it was supposed to say was: "Stenides: Eugenides's brother, a watchmaker with really impressive biceps."
Proofreaders these days just aren't doing their jobs properly.

So manly they barely looked real.
At the sight, women sighed
And looked googly-eyed
And pursued him with vigor and zeal.
I think I deserve to be the poet laureate of somewhere for that. I'm sure it is much better than anything Dite wrote.
