I'm so sorry -- it's not easy news to receive, and I'm sorry to have broken it to you so unexpectedly.
Over the last five years, I've continued to be grateful for her writing -- both the hilarious/charming short stories on her journal and her novel. I've tried to pass them on to friends as often as I can, even if they didn't have any connection to her or Sounis. (The Emerald Thread is still here (http://www.lulu.com/shop/mordena-babich/the-emerald-thread/paperback/product-20150553.html) ... last year I ordered a copy for a book exchange with a dear friend who grew up near where Philia lived, so I think it's probably available forever, thanks to her family.)
