My great-grandfather climbed that :D
No, he was not a vandal. He was a Royal Lancashire Signal Corp with General Allenby in WW1, in Egypt prior to the invasion of Palestine. The Signallers used the pyramids as a good way to get high up for signalling long distance across the desert!
