MWT and Shannon Hale in SLC!

Hey again! I had a great time at The Kings English on Saturday (and I know some of you were there too, though I didn't officially meet many of you). I ended up taking a video of the conversation MWT and Shannon Hale had (once I remembered; the first 5 minutes weren't captured). The video itself is terrible (I wasn't in the best ever sight location and my camera is subpar) but the audio is acceptable and you can still see them over that girl's shoulder. Usually. (I honestly didn't care that much how the video looked because I was mostly thinking I'd share it with my mom and she wouldn't care.)

Here's the video! It's 45 minutes long and very enjoyable. As long as you're not trying to see. Oh, and there are no spoilers for any of the books. So you can proceed without fear whether or not you've read the newest yet.

Someday I may get around to transcribing it, but so far I have been too lazy. And you can't really indicate hand motions in writing.

I'm actually hesitant about it (and why I posted this on a f-lock instead of public) because I didn't ask their permission to record (though I think they noticed I was) or post it on the internet. Should we just assume they'll be fine with it because it's the world we live in and it's not really proprietary information?

I take issue with the statement that you can do dishes with a toddler around. I have tried. Laundry, sure, but dishes, nope. I have an explorer-climber who makes a beeline for the dishwasher and is immediately pulling out the sharpest looking implement while simultaneously attempting to clamber up onto the upper rack. ;-)

Have you tried just washing in the sink? Might be less accessible to your baby (unless, they can also climb that high... some do.)

Thank you so much for posting! We had a sibling who wasn't able to get a ride down to be there, and it was only partway through I realized I should have brought a camera to record it for her. It will be great to be able to let her be there secondhand. Thanks again!
