As some of you know, I stole my library's copy of TaT in order to read it on the release date, while my own copy was going to arrive later on in the mail.

ALLEGEDLY.

Apparently, I was so excited when I placed the order for my copy that I didn't notice that Chrome had auto-filled in the address with THE WRONG TOWN! I didn't realize there was anything wrong until my book still hadn't arrived a week later. Then, I double checked my order and spotted the error. Noooo!!!!

Luckily, the seller was able to get me the tracking number for the package. I saw that it was stuck in Massachusettes on its way up to Maine. It had bounced to New Jersey and then back to Mass. There, it languished in the sorting facility like a thief in the king's prison.

Thank the gods that USPS allows you to do an "intercept", which is where you can send a request for a package to be sent to a new address. This time, I double and triple checked the address. After watching the tracking updates and seeing it bounce around inside my state a few times...IT FINALLY ARRIVED TODAY!! I practically shoved the mail truck aside to get to my mailbox when I saw them pull up.

Huzzah!

Ironically, look what just arrived yesterday as well:

Hooray! It finally reached you! An epic journey for a book about an epic journey. Glad it finally made it home safely to the (vacation)land of Attolia. :)

Wow, that gives a whole new meaning to the song "A Long And Winding Road." I'm glad it finally led both book & license plate to your door.

:)
