I second the Lantern Bearers recommendation - my favorite!! - but yes do avoid Mark of the Horse Lord unless you're in the mood for a really rough ride.
The Silver Branch is good and probably most comparable (anguish-wise, or lack-thereof in this case) to Eagle. :)
