My initial reaction when I read the Scottish accent discussion years ago was 'no way', but I've come to see what they're talking about a lot more since then. Having just reread "The Lantern Bearers" (Ambrosius particularly), I think I agree and come down in the Welsh accent camp myself. Even if untrue, it will make future rereads just that much more fun.
