I'm usually one who hates contrived suddenly-everything-works-out-in-the-end happy endings but...I do just want them to be happy. Happyish. Ok, I'll settle for Not Dead. All the mutterings about Gen and the thin veil and his health and all, I don't like that.
I've been thinking more about an heir and would like to see them with a baby. But you know how people say sometimes that a kid is "a good combination of you both!" in a complimentary way? I could see this child as a terrifying combination of the worst of each of them. I do hope he or she gets Gen's loyalty and innate kindness along with Irene's deep capacity for love, and her protectiveness. Now that would be a good combination of them both.
I'd love to see more of Helen and Sophos and what their married relationship has turned into, now that they've had some time together.
