I knew some time had to have elapsed as Ornon was still present in both KoA and ACoK and we don't know how long he has been in the Mede city. When TaT begins, he has been there for long enough for the slaves to notice that he treated them decently. Thinking aloud here (figuratively speaking of course!); If Costis came with him, as seems likely, it can't have been too long as Gen made it plain that he has a job for Costis and we know that Costis needs to leave Attolia before someone tries to assassinate him again. The big question is, and I didn't think anything of it until you mentioned MWT's "not telling", is indeed how long! Will August of 2020 EVER get here! I don't know if I can stand the suspense.
