[livejournal.com profile] freenarnian 's post with the reading questionnaire started me thinking about book recommendations. I used to get many of my reccs here and now I depend on online lists and alerts about new books. Many of us here have similar taste in books, where do you all get recommendations for books you may like?

Family, random google searches that lead to learning about books. But I honestly don't usually have trouble finding things I want to read. :)

I'm usually the one doling out book recommendations among my acquaintance, and the charge is a ponderous one... j/k. I force people to read the same books as me, so I have an audience I can blather on to about them. ;) Strangely, not everyone shares my level of enthusiasm for the subject...

Thank goodness for Sounis.

I gather recommendations from authors I like, people I follow on Goodreads, and anyone who's ever made the mistake of mentioning a book they read within the excellent range of my hearing. The more the better, because I'm always searching for the next great read.

I follow tor.com and https://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/ . Between the two, there're a wide range of reviews in lots of genres, so I find lots of choices in both what to read and what not to read. A bonus about https://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/ is that they have many posts of e-books that are on sale.
