Book Tours?

Does anyone have any idea if where are/were book tours planned for the release of "The Return of the Thief" and where the stops might be?

I assume those kinds of things are largely cancelled for the next few months, and the October release date is probably right around when they're expecting a second wave of coronavirus outbreaks.......

But just in case, does anyone know? Is there a source that I should be following or subscribed to in order to find out these things? I feel like I always hear about appearances after the fact...

I follow it too (or at least check it every few days) but somehow I missed the TaT tours....Hm.

You mean the release of Return of the Thief, right? If you're looking for a list of where TaT book tour stops were, that's still up on Megan's website.

If you do mean RoT, that's a simple question with a complex answer. Megan said during a chat a few weeks ago that she is not certain she will get an official book tour. Harper Collins doesn't pay for every author with a book coming out to go on tour. It's a selective process. If she doesn't get one, she talked about setting up an informal tour herself and meeting up with fans in coffee shops and book stores or something like that.

However, no one knows when traveling will be a good idea again, so I imagine that is very up in the air. Next time I talk to her, I'll ask her if she'd like to send me or Checkers an email if/when that decision is made, so we can let everyone on Sounis know. In the meantime, like Ian said, her Tumblr is a pretty good source of information. Also, keep an eye on her website.

Once an arc is released, I'm sure we'll get a lot more information. A few weeks ago, she said she was finishing some edits before an approaching deadline. So, we may get some news on that soon.

Yes, what Lady Jane said. There might not be an official book tour but I bet we could convince Megan to have some more informal Thief-cons, especially around the midwest where she lives. Here's hoping October brings more opportunities to get together with like-minded fans.
