Is anyone going to sign up for the Brookline book launch for Return of the Thief on 10/6? Trivia questions are at 7:00 PM followed by question and answers with MWT @8:00
I just came here to see if anyone had posted this because I'd hate for someone to miss it and wish they'd known.
I was back and forth all yesterday about it, but decided I am going to attend. I want to attend, but don't want to have to wait another week+ to be able to start reading the book, and I feel funny buying another, more expensive copy of the book when I've already had one pre-ordered for at least a year. But I decided that I can buy more than one release copy for once in decades of fandom, so I'm going to get the ebook to read on the 6th and for future highlighting/referencing, the ticket for this event, and then figure out what to do with our original pre-order (assuming it ships to us sooner than this book launch copy, otherwise we'll just cancel it).
Looks like the trivia portion is now sold out but I'm planning on grabbing a ticket to the Q and A. Oct. 6 is my wedding anniversary and the birthday of a special family member but hopefully at 8:00 I can sneak off to my laptop.
I'll be there for the Q&A as well (uncertain schedule allowing)!
The trivia was sold out, but that's OK. Sounds like it would be fun to witness, but even if I had a chance of winning, I'd want the question to go to someone else. I've been fortunate enough to meet Megan and ask her my questions on previous occasions, so I feel like the opportunity should go to another lucky reader! :)
@rouan1, @eachase I am more than happy to take notes/transcribe, etc. the trivia portion of the event and make those available if you're interested. There has been much discussion in the Discord server about this.
To my shame I still haven't invested a lot of time figuring out LJ and don't actually know a good way to contact you to pass on anything I'm able to transcribe, etc. Is there a good way to go about it? I don't mind passing along an email address or something but I'd rather not post it publicly on the off-chance of bots or whatever.
