Looks like the videos from this weekend's #NTTBF21 are still up on YouTube. I don't know how long they'll be up, but if weren't able to watch Friday and Saturday, there's still a chance. Here's a link to the line up:

Both of Megan's events were *awesome* and the middle grade ones my 11yo watched were great, too.

Thanks for the head's up! I love being able to listen in.

Laini Taylor made a great observation about MWT's books: The delight of reading them for the first time is being surprised, and the delight of reading them again (and again) is putting together the pieces. That's a decade of Sounis discussions in a nutshell, isn't it?

MWT saying it only takes her seven effortless years to write a book. :D

Also relatable: MWT saying 80% of the books in her house are from library book sales. Mine too! Very familiar with the reality of never finding Book 1 of a series, so you might start with Book 3 instead. :) I'd never thought of it as a reason for writing each book to be self-contained, though. Perhaps that explains why so many QT readers came to the series through Queen or King of Attolia first, without too much difficulty over chronology.

Thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed watching both events and now have some new books to try as well.

I finally watched these--thanks again for posting the link AND the reminder to watch. They really were good. I was heartened by Megan's comments about the virtual booklaunch and how she saw it as a good thing rather than a sad pandemic second choice. It offered the chance for fans world-wide to celebrate the publication of the book.
