There's still a little more than 24 hours left to enter MWT's ARC giveaway. There are some truly fabulous peeps pics out there--some are hilarious, some are masterpieces, but what I like best is that everyone found a way to illustrate their most-loved scenes.

I've REALLY enjoyed seeing all the entries!! The thing about little blobby peeps is that it takes a few moments for me to identify the scene they chose, which makes for excellent shock value (whether it's heartwarming or slightly horrifying). So good.

I'm definitely inspired, but I've been to five different grocery stores this week and haven't found a single peep! I hoped to do something with Gen and Helen in the library in QoA, just for the "Steal me peeps, Eugenides" pun, as well as a goofy/dramatic zoom in on sugary chick eyes, paired with:

"Eugenides matched Costis look for look, his expression grave, his eyes like pools of darkness deeper than Costis could penetrate. For a moment Costis could see, not so much what was hidden but that there were things hidden that the king did not choose to revel. Things that were not for Costis to see."

I had not! I would have entered the contest noncompetitively, anyway (I was lucky enough to get an unexpected ARC a few weeks ago), so maybe I will take today + however long my limited photoshop skills require to whip something up! I can at least manage the second one, I hope.

I'm not sure why, but those little cheery-yellow Gen bird peeps crack me up every single time. He's definitely a bird peep and Irene is a bunny peep.
