Eddis Doll!

The Eddis doll is pretty much completed. I made her hair curlier. The curls can go over her gold circlet as described. Here is a photo of Eddis and Sophos before I put the curls in her hair. I think they look cuter together for some reason in the second photo but for some reason I can't get Sophos to stand up without the book now because he stole Gen's wine.

She looks way um…more awake than Sophos who just looks slightly dazed and blushing which I suppose is forgivable if he’s standing next to Eddis. (Attolia looks serene and Gen looks amused.) I was worried I’d make her look too pretty. Her nose is wonky too. Weirdly, she seems to have a resemblance to the Gen doll. Maybe it’s just the same hair colour and skin tone. *wonders what a Stenides doll would look like, biceps aside…*

The dress is taffeta, hopefully looking silk-ish. It’s green because of the dress she wore at the end of The Thief and because I had to make a doll wearing green. :P. Gold embroidery because her tunic in QoA was embroidered in gold and she wears a gold circlet (plaited gold thread on the doll) so I thought I’d make it matching. It’s lined with gold ribbon too. The gold sash is the one Xanthe made her wear at the end of QoA.

I just hope it doesn’t look too like the green dress Attolia wore. *winces at the gold teardrops-looking-slightly-like-leaves around the neck*.

Anyways, Eddis looks slightly impatient with the whole dress thing so I have to make her some accessories. A practice sword, a mini Hamiathes gift and other stuff when I think of it. Maybe some earrings and other jewellery for Gen to steal. The practice sword is exactly the same as the one Sophos has here. I haven’t made the Hamiathes gift yet since I haven’t found the right coloured bead. *puts on urgent list of things to do*

(ps. there are carrot-tops smushed on my third storey windows. The crickets were displeased. Do Not Feed the crickets unless you can ship me some weaponry to protect myself with, they ate the cat last night!)
