Oct. 25th, 2007 09:14 pmHiya there! First post and all that jazz. I'm seventeen, English, and I read the books a few years ago, loved them, and have lurked here for a while watching all you awesomely intelligent people discuss layers of subtext I'd barely considered. Anyway, I have a question - i'm thinking of buying 'Thief' as a present for a friend; does anyone know what the 'extras' advertised on the cover of this edition entail? I seem to remember hearing about a short story - is that it?
Thanks!

I know the extras advertised on KoA consist of a short story at the back - the short story in relation to 'The Thief' that you may have heard of was published in a Disney Magazine a while ago - I usually email off a scan that Fabricalalchemist uploaded for us to anyone who asks for it. I don't think it was ever published with the actual book - the scan I have is illustrated and in magazine format.

Date: 10/26/07 06:46 pm (UTC)Yeah, I saw that! Pity I won't be able to get down to London that period - I can't imagine my parents would be that enthused if I asked them to escort me half way across the country just to see one author. Maybe if I suggest more events, though ...
