Another introduction

Good day! I've posted a couple of times, but I have made no formal introduction... so here I am, remedying this shortcoming.

I'm Deven, female, and live in Canada. I'm in my last year of high school, and am hoping to get into Sheridan's bachelor of animation program. I've done illustrations for a music program, but other than that I haven't had any other part-time jobs. I am laaazy. XD

I'm not really involved in any fandoms, but this one has a strange allure to it. Well, that, and I'm completely enamored by this series and can't WAIT for the next one. Greek culture fascinates me as well, and I love all the gods and characters of the books. And, as with any book that I enjoy, I must draw fanart for it...

As you can see, it's a Gen piece in progress, KoA era.  A couple questions, though: what colour should his robes be, and are Gen's eyes actually brown, or did I make that up? I was thinking either the canary yellow or the orangey-red robes... but any suggestions are welcome.

Also, if any of you have any suggestions for scenes or characters you'd like to see done, I'd be more than happy to comply. Feel free to critique my stuff, whether it's a description inaccuracy, depiction error, or anatomical issue. I'm open to the idea that I am entirely wrong about things. XD

Ah, I love Noir Désir! They have such variety in their music, and I love the lead singer's voice. Pity he's in prison right now. XD

Argh, don't I know it! One of the reasons why I would much rather do Megan Whelan Turner fanart than, say, Harry Potter. Harry's got enough - make way for Gen! (who is at least 1000x sexier.)

Thank-you! First for yellow... I'm split either way, because I think orangey-red would look dead sexy (and goes with Attolia XD), yet the idea of Gen wearing bright yellow amuses me greatly.

Oh, haha, no, no, that's not his scar - it was just my guideline for his cheekbone, I guess I forgot to erase it. XD Although it's a good thing you mentioned his scar - I undoubtedly would have foolishly forgotten it. :B

Man...I'm no artist, but I love that face and that slightly skeptical, fed-up look. Like you caught Gen in private.

And, let's face it, who doesn't want to catch Gen in private. Please, please post this one when you finish it!

Are you seriously asking for suggestions? I'd love to see someone draw some kind of Attolia/Gen interaction in KoA. I've seen beautiful Attolias and mischevious Gens, but seldom both in the same picture.

Ahhh, I love the Attolia/Gen interaction going on in KoA... one of the many reasons why King is my favourite book so far. I'll be sure to draw some of that, no fear. :D

anyway, I have absolutely no clue what you should dress him in. But I can't wait to see the finished product!

Also my Eugenides is pale, which is NOT CANON AT ALL, but then again it wasn't until GoF that I realized Draco Malfoy had blonde hair, not black hair, so...one of these days I'll adjust. XD

Hahhhh, you thought Draco had black hair? Lol, I can relate - I thought Snape had a beard, and that he had short hair for the longest time. But, of course, it would be bad for the anime fanart if it had a beard, since no one would be able to tell the difference between him and Sirius (ooh, burn, anime peoples. XD)

And yes, pirates ARE excellent. XB It is an inarguable fact. :)
