Hello, all. I used to be semi-active in this community, but then school kicked in an I had to choose between lj and passing my classes, so I stopped reading. Haha, college applications.

Actually that's about all I have to say. I am incredibly busy, in fact so busy I'm pretty much dying, and I have NO TIME to apply to college. This leads me to believe that my school doesn't actually want me to go to college. I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to get rid of me, because I had no idea they liked me so much, but there you have it.

Thankfully the application I care about the most (University of Chicago early action) is completed. But the others? Well. My major obstacle is that pretty much every school I'm applying to requires separate, non-reusable essay(s).

I'm telling you, American schools are so complicated. You've got to come to Canada, just send in your transcript, and you're good to go! None of this essay junk. ;D

Well, there might be a few schools here that want essays and such, but, uh, they're all called Mt. Allison. XD

Oh! How was the Chicago application? I've been debating with myself whether or not to apply for several lots of months now. It comes down to it's amazing coolness will outweigh not having my major if the application is easy, so...

What do you want to major in? Chicago is indeed awesome. And the application is pretty okay - everyone everywhere prefers the site to the Common App site, they don't require SAT IIs, and they don't have a lot of the extra dumb stuff that some applications have. If you've seen Brown's or Columbia's applications, then you'll have some comparison. Chicago's is much nicer and simpler than those.

Engineering. I've finished Brown's application already, and most of the Common App (which, by the way, is ridiculous). It's good to know that it's not as complicated as other schools. Thanks for letting me know, I think Chicago just moved up on my list of to-dos.

Ooph. I would love to do so, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut my self off again. I spent an hour of essay time yesterday just reading a few pages of KOA discussion when I was supposed to be writing about Richard III.
