So, firstly: I opened a bit of a request for scenes people would like to see illustrated on my intro post, and I re-ask it here. Characters, situations, events, gods/goddesses, amusing things you've thought up that you'd like to see, whatever. Post them all, and I shall do them if they tickle my fancy.

Secondly, I want to make some wallpapers. Should I do individual ones for each character? Gen, Eddis and Attolia, obviously, but who else'd you like to see? Magus? Relius? Costis? Teleus? Or should I do a group thing?

Thirdly, would it be some sort of ridiculous copyright infringement if I were to make a comic out of one of the books? I'd obviously only take credit for the portrayal, and I wouldn't be selling it or anything, so could I count this as, ah "fanart?" It would be King of Attolia, by the way, if I ever get off my arse  to do it. Just musing, even if it DOES get immediately shot down by those with a firmer grasp of copyright law than I.

Finally, I've been kinda busy lately, but I'll do an art post here in a week or so (hopefully), one that includes a couple requested scenes and maybe a wallpaper or two, should time allow. Oh, and the coloured version of the little doodle of Gen I posted a while ago... I kinda forgot about it. XD

Because secretly, Sounis is a member of fandom. His favorite character is Sophos, naturally, and he's currently writing a long, dramatic fanfiction explaining what the hell the kid has been up to, and how he isn't dead. It's currently at 65 chapters of swash-buckling and damsels, unfortunately, they're quite short and not very well written - the Magus will eventually have to step in and beta-read.

Oh, I'd love to see a dancing bear in the Attolian court. Moira would be nice to see illustrated too.

(It might be worth emailing Megan about the comic, but I would have thought it'd come under the same category as fanfiction and our readaloud, and as you said, fanart.)

How do you know the beard is fake? If Sophos is grown up and avenging now, I'm sure he can grow a beard. Maybe he got so excited when he realised he could, that he went crazy, and put it into points, and dyed it red.

It probably does--I imagine there's a good deal of random drama involved. I mean, what else does the guy have to do in his spare time? He's been kinda neglected for the past few years. XD

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX:

Gasp!" Sophos says and grabs the magic sword which is lying nearby him and POW! GUSH! BAM! he kills the evil dragonfish and blood goes everywhere! "You saved Me!" teh beutiful damsel says happily and she swoons. "Your welcome!!" the Pirate King Sophos says and swings on the rope back to his awesome pirate ship that he took from the stupid Medes. The evil fishdragon is dead! Our hero Sophos wins again!

Good point. Though it could make the revelation scene a little difficult. Instead of whipping off the fake beard and going, "Bwahaha! It was me all along!", he'll have to whip out his shaving cream and razor and spend half an hour going, "No really! It's me! You can't tell? Let me shave off the sideburns too - ouch!"

Maybe pointy red beard have become the equivalent of punky pink mohicans over in Sounis. Maybe Sophos was just trying to follow the latest fashions. :)

I want there to be a cool scene where Gen is REALLY mad at the bad guys (prolly Medes, lol) and Eugenides comes and appears next to/behind/whatever Gen and Gen's all >:D and the bad guys are all 8C and then the bad guys get their asses handed to them and it's all dramatic and the SFX guys'll be working overtime and stuff.

And yeah. :D

Maybe he'll have followed the current fashion for heroes and have had a leg lopped off. Then he can be peg-legged-pirate-king-Sophos.

It's a lovely idea, but I can't see it happening for some reason. It doesn't seem like Eugenides' style. :( (Though it is making me long wistfully for movies of the books again. They'd be so good as movies.)

Dear diary,

Even though I, the awesomely powerful and handsome king, am both awesomely powerful and handsome, it seems that as of late nothing is happening. Sure, there's trade and they did just build a new theater, but for some reason I have the feeling that those stupid girl queens are having more fun than me! And that stupid thief guy! I was a king first! I'm way more important!

Even the Magus likes the stupid other royalty more. I bet they have stupid tea-parties and fix their stupid hair and are stupid. I don't care, because I never liked the Magus anyway.

To Do list:

Finish chapter sixty-six of my great masterpiece.
Declare war on everyone else because they're stupid.
