Jane Yolen
Nov. 21st, 2007 08:06 amI recently found out that Jane Yolen is giving some programs in central Missouri (within driving distance of me) and am trying to arrange my life to go to as many as possible. Is anyone lurking out there going? We could show up to see Jane Yolen carrying our copies of the Thief...if that wouldn't be too uncouth. http://www.kindcrone.com/explorations.html

Date: 11/21/07 09:38 pm (UTC)I just visited her website. (http://www.janeyolen.com/) Very nicely done site, and wow, she has written a lot of books. So many are out of print, though.

Date: 11/22/07 01:28 pm (UTC)Jane Yolen has kept me entertained many times. I have to admit though, that I have never turned around and reread any of her books the second that I was through with them the way I have done with all of MWT's.

Date: 11/24/07 09:43 pm (UTC)Jane Yolen writes delicate, ethereal prose, yet in person is a large, Jewish grandmother from Brooklyn, with an unexpectedly earthy side. I've heard her on panels at the World Fantasy Con several times. She can only give you added insights into and enjoyment of MWT's books. Hearing authors able to articulate some of their creative process is some of the Best Fun Ever, very nicely meta. I wish I were close enough to come with you.
