Calling all European Sounisians, (yes, even you guys over on the continent, come over and join us!)

The Next Official Author Event will take place in London on Sunday the 30th of December at Noon.   There will be lots of rushed New-Year-shoppers-coffee, other Sounisians, and most importantly, Megan herself.  Ditch the sales for a day, and wander along.  Tell her how much the books mean to you and try to pry something other than a no comment from her pose thoughtful and insightful questions.  This may also be your Only Chance to meet other people who have actually read the books.  Don't miss out!

We'll begin by meeting at the starbucks opposite the British Museum but may move after a while, so it would be nice to know who's coming so that we know how many people to wait for.  (Though people are, of course, welcome to just turn up on the day without commenting first).   I know several of you have also already mentioned that you'll be attending on this post

Just remember to look out for other people carrying one or more of the books.  I'll probably be in Starbucks trying to drag out cups of coffee and reserving a table from 11am, so anyone who's early can wander in and help me to steal more chairs from other tables.

See below for a helpful little map.  The black cross, (because my paint programme has become allergic to red), indicates where the starbucks is, so none of you have Any Excuse for not turning up. :)

Does anybody have any cheap but good pubs to recommend in the Bloomsbury area? We booked these tickets before the exchange rate turned the U.S dollar into rubles.

I don't think that cheap pubs exist in central London much anymore. :S Though actually - it depends, and I know you can find some decent enough and cheap places on side streets in parts of Bloomsbury, though none that I know by name, and they tend to mostly be cafes anyway. My friend has just poked me and told me to tell you to go to Somerstown Coffee House, (which is apparently really a pub).

I don't eat out much properly in London, but my friends and I have used this guide (http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/features/173.html) a couple of times before. Not pubs, but I hope it helps anyway.
