Just came back from Denvention and thought some of you might be Bujold fans. If so, here are some links that might interest you. I got these from Nancy Barber, a fabulous lady & big Bujold fan.

Miles is fulfilling Auditorial duties, and is set 5 years after Diplomatic Immunity. He's got 5 kids now (including Nikki). Please note that only 4 chapters have been written of the Miles story and a lot can/will change before Lois finalizes it.

If any of you have a chance to go to a World Con (World SF convention) do so. It's loads of fun and there's an amazing amount to do. The next one will be in Montreal, and the one after that in Australia.

Thanks for posting the links! I agree; Nancy [[livejournal.com profile] nlbarber] is indeed fabulous! She won the Interfilk quilt the year Lois was at GaFilk; it's signed & everything. Maybe it's time to visit it again. ;)

Just a note: when the WorldCon is out of North America [in Australia, for example], there's a NASFIC [North American Science Fiction Something-Or-Other] the same year. Nasfic is kind of like a scaled-down WorldCon, very accessible & friendly. Where WorldCon is typically 4-5,000, Nasfic is more like 2,500-3,000. Raleigh, South Carolina is the first bid to step forward for the 2010 Nasfic. Reno and Seattle are both mounting strong bids for the 2011 WorldCon.

Whichever one[s] you can make it to, there're bound to be lots of Sounisians, reprobating rampageously.

That's why we go to WorldCons whenever we can; one gets ever so much more social bang for the buck, as fen from all around the world will show up there as they will no place else.

Feel fully free to have fun with the phrase; I'd be curious to see what you come up with.
