Coming out of lurking, because I saw this secret today and it tickled me.

There's a community here on LJ called [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets where people make images similar to the post cards in the Post Secrets blog, all relating to fandom. The secrets range from vulgar (the community can be NSFW at times, just to warn you all) to sweet to stupid to funny to something you actually agree with.

Well, on today's post there's a secret about our favorite books! It's #169. Someone lamenting that "nobody's ever heard of the books". I took the opportunity to pimp the community in the comments, of course, since apparently the secret-maker isn't aware of the community here.

Again, the community can be NSFW sometimes, so DON'T click the link if you're not prepared for that. (I don't think there's anything too graphic this time around, but some of the secrets deal with adult subject matter for sure.)

If you want to see the secret without looking through the entire post, it's here.

A few people actually asked for more information about the books, so they might get a few more readers because of this. ^^ It's nothing too earth-shattering, but I still thought it was nice to see some love for the books, so I'd thought I'd let you all know!

Hi there! I just discovered Megan Whalen Turner's books in the last few weeks, and have been terrible in putting aside all other sorts of work in order to track them down. In the end, I read them in this order: Half of KoA, then the Thief, then QoA, then KoA again and to the finish. Reading the start of KoA with and without background knowledge was each time a very different experience - I'm glad I did it, really, even if it was by accident.

I know this is likely an irritating thing to ask, but does anyone here know whether MWT is working on any writing projects at the moment? I very seldom find an author that goes instantly on to my "to buy" list, and I would love to know if there'll be anything coming up of hers for me to get my hands on.
