Hello, fellow Sounisians!
A thought came to while I was avoiding my math home work about something Gen said in KoA.  Remember when Phresine is telling the story of Klimun and Gerosthenes:

"Oh, no," said Phresine, "This was a humble slave."

                     "Ouch"

                     "Though very courageous."

"Not me," whispered Eugenides to his pillow.

                      "Shhh."

So I was wondering why Gen thinks he's not courageous.  Throughout the series, he's done alot of courageous things:
Getting locked in Sounis' prison, stealing Hamiathes Gift.
In QoA, he went to Attolia even after he warned Helen that to do so would be dangerous, he had the courage to face the loss of his hand and do his best to move on, and the courage to face the woman who had done it to him.
It took alot of courage to leave Eddis to marry Irene and move to a country where everyone hated him.

So why doesn't Gen think he's courageous?

And here's a closing thought courtesy of QoA:

Who was the Thief that she should love him?  A youth, just a boy with hardly a beard and no sense at all, she told herself.  A liar she thought, an enemy, a threat.  He was brave, a voice inside her said, he was loyal.  Not loyal to me, she answered.  Not brave on my behalf.  Brave and loyal, the voice repeated.

Thanks for reading, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts,  booksrgood4u
