King of Attolia question

Hi! I discovered the Queen's Thief books a couple of months ago and fell in love with them. I just have a quick question on something that happened in King of Attolia.
After Sejanus's arrest, Attolia mentions that all the barons have been trooping though her bedroom to take a look at the king. Why are the barons doing that? Is it because Eugenides exiled Dite and imprisoned Sejanus? Or is it because the attendants have been telling everyone that Eugenides framed Dite for trying to assassinate him and then forced Sejanus to confess and save his brother? I'm not clear on how much the attendants have been gossiping about the king.
